Cytiva world
Brand Platform
BACKGROUND
Establishing a brand at launch
Cytiva – a global provider of tools, technologies and services for the biopharma industry – was formed through the divestiture of GE Healthcare Biopharma to the Danaher Corporation in 2020. The company initially approached us to create a cross-channel positioning campaign that would help build and drive awareness for the ‘new’ Cytiva brand.
CHALLENGE
Standing out in a generic landscape
Upon research, we identified a crowded life sciences market of ‘sameness’ which we needed to break free of to differentiate ourselves. Our strategy was to think scientist first – making the Cytiva brand feel interesting, engaging and approachable to its customers, rather than making the brand seem overly serious or self-important.
IDEA
Using personality to break through
We developed a creative brand campaign, identity and messaging framework that positioned Cytiva as the ‘helping hand’ to advance and accelerate drug discovery, development and delivery. The campaign universe comprised everything from film and digital assets to print ads, brochures, congress materials and more.
After establishing a fresh and vivid brand, we expanded Cytiva World with a series of further films and campaigns. These focused on the challenging realities faced by scientists when developing novel therapies or streamlining workflows, helping establish Cytiva as a market leader and expert partner rather than a house of products.
Cytiva World continued to grow across the funnel with a new campaign at the solution and service level, capturing the critical importance of filtration in stopping contaminants and costs from running wild. This leaned into the iconic world of The Western, telling our own unique tale of unwanted risks and dependable troubleshooters.
To further strengthen the Cytiva brand, we’ve collaborated on many more campaigns and project types. These include value proposition strategies, new product launches, research and development campaigns, and thought leadership initiatives. While different in nature, all have established a series of unique and compelling brand characteristics.
